Capello Rejects Inter Milan Link

England boss Fabio Capello insists he is only focused on the World Cup after being linked with the Inter Milan job.

Newly-crowned European champions Inter are set to be in the market for a new coach with Jose Mourinho primed to take over at Real Madrid.

Inter president Massimo Moratti is getting ready to compile a list of candidates to replace Mourinho and has already ruled out a return to the club for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

Former AC Milan chief Capello has been mooted as a contender and Moratti would not dismiss the possibility of making an approach for the 63-year-old.

Moratti told Ansa: "We have had contact with him in the past and he may be interesting."

However, speaking after England's 3-1 friendly win over Mexico on Monday evening, Capello sought to play down rumours regarding his future.

Capello has also been linked with several of his former teams, but stressed his priority is on preparing the England squad for next month's World Cup in South Africa.

"Juventus, Inter, Real Madrid, the other teams, AC Milan," he smiled.

"It's good for me, but I am focused on the World Cup."
